AARP Tax-Aide - Androscoggin Cty

AARP Tax-Aide is a volunteer group that provides totally free income tax preparation and electronic filing of federal and state income tax returns for all eligible low to moderate income taxpayers as well as the elderly.

During the income tax filing season, a team of trained volunteers work together to interview, prepare and review tax returns for eligible taxpayers.  Some volunteers greet taxpayers, others are involved with actual tax return preparation using tax software, other quality review each return, others are technically savvy and make sure that all laptops and printers are working.

We are looking for compassionate and friendly individuals to join our volunteer team.  We'll provide the training and support to help you learn new skills, and you'll get a great feeling from helping someone else.

This is a great volunteer opportunity which helps the winter go just a little faster, leaving you free to pursue other activities for the remainder of the year.

If requested, volunteers are reimbursed for mileage, parking and tolls.
