United Way's mission is to increase the organized capacity of people in Androscoggin and Oxford Counties to care for one another. United Way of Androscoggin County leads and supports strategic initiatives that work to identify the root causes of community-wide problems and brings collective community resources together to implement long-lasting solutions. We're bringing together the hearts, hands and minds of our community to make it one of the best places in the country for children and families. It's a big goal. A brighter vision of the future shared by individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.
Volunteers seek financial and volunteer support to fund valuable programs in the community through United Way. Individuals work on a particular division (finance) and make thank you calls, cultivate new accounts, and most importantly, ask for an increase in corporate contributions and employee participation. Sales experience is a plus!
