Who We Are
Central Maine Adaptive Sports is a 501C3 organization that teaches the Intellectual Disabilities how to enjoy their winter months by concentrating on their abilities not their disabilities.
What We Do
Central Maine Adaptive Sports is a volunteer program that teaches the Intellectual Disabilities of any age how to adapt to winter months at Lost Valley. We can teach them how to alpine (downhill), cross country, snowboard, snowshoe and we have a Biski (sit ski) for the population that may not be able to walk or have seizures. We concentrate on their abilities and we can always adapt. We have tools to use such as: a tether, hula hoop, and a ski bra.
