Literacy Volunteers-Androscoggin

Our Mission is to provide free, one-on-one tutoring and other educational services to help adults in Androscoggin County acquire the basic reading, writing, math and life skills they need to enhance their lives and achieve their personal goals.

Tutors receive training in a 10-hour workshop and are then matched with a student with whom they will work weekly over the course of a year or more. LV-A provides materials, mentors, and support. 

The English Conversation Partners Program provides one-on-one meetings between English Language Learners and partners to improve their conversational English skills and to encourage a “cultural exchange."
