A list of services we provide:
Volunteer Services: This program coordinates over 100 community members, and RCAM partnerships volunteers to support and assist each of RCAM's services.
Financial Literacy: RCAM's newest service, "Your Money, Your Goals" launched in 2019, is consumer driven and provides a series of financial literacy tools to help people learn how to manage their money and achieve economic independence.
Homeless Prevention Services: Helps with utility disconnection, rent eviction, and emergency fuel. Provides access to resources, information, and encouragement identified as necessary to reach economic stability and self-sufficiency.
Comprehensive Family Shelter/ Senior Services: Volunteers are coordinated to provide outreach services to rural elderly and or disabled. Services include transportation to medical appointments, and monitoring of home safety and other health and safety factors.
Housing Services: Low cost or no cost housing repairs to respond to the needs of low-income individuals, families, elderly and or disabled clients by providing minor home repair, housing rehabilitation, and safety accommodations.
Family Shelter, Transitional Unit, and Senior Residential Housing: RCAM operates a two- unit family homeless shelter. The RCAM Transitional Unit houses one family for up to two years.
Hunger prevention and gardening Services: Gardening Services help people learn to plan, plant, maintain and harvest their own gardens, meeting nutritional needs with fresh produce. This program provides tilling, seeds, and Master Gardner demonstrations.
Information and referral: We will help connect people to additional resource providers to meet needs when we cant help.
RCAM helps to financially support our 14 town food banks. We also helped create local Hunger Coalitions to increase Community awareness of local food insecurity and it's impact.
